About the Program
Skills, Tests, Achievement and Recognition - This is what Skate Canada's StarSkate Program is all about!
Figure Skating instruction for those who have completed Stage 6 CanSkate. This program is for skaters from the Star 1- Gold Level. Skaters will be coached for the majority of the session in Classes ( Whole Group) and Group Lessons( small groups) and working on Figure Skating in the following disciplines : Freeskate, Ice Dance, Skills, Artistic and Synchro Skating.Â
Skaters have the opportunity to take Assessments and attend competitions if they choose. This program also has a twice weekly Off Ice Session. Private Lessons are available on certain sessions designated for Private Lessons. The private Lesson fee is not included in registration and will be billed by the coach. All other small group lessons , classes and off ice classes are included in the registration fee.Â
Those skaters who are Star 2 and Higher are required to take private lessons as this is when choreography of solos will take place. Star 1 Skaters are not required to take private lessons but are encouraged to do so in order to speed up progress. Skaters are encouraged to do a minimum of three days.

Available times:
Tuesdays from 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm.
Thrusdays from 4:00 pm - 4:50 pm.
Saturdays from 7:50 am - 8:55 am.

Sabrina Hinson
Sabrina has over 15 years of coaching experience teaching skating from all over the country. She has experience coaching all ages and levels from Pre CanSkate and CanSkate to StarSkate as well as Competitive Skaters in all disciplines through Gold Tests, Adult Skaters and Synchro Skaters. She also has experience coaching Off-Ice Training Sessions.
